Dr. Danielle Bergan grew up in the bay area. She attended UC Davis for undergraduate school where she earned a B.S. in Animal Biology in 2007. This is also where her love of horses was sparked. She then attended Western University in Pomona, CA, for veterinary school. Her fourth year of veterinary school was non-traditional, as she learned at many privately-owned clinics in California, including a month at Peninsula Equine, and across the US.
After graduating from veterinary school, she completed a rigorous internship at Brazos Valley Equine Hospital in Texas where she worked with high-end cutting horses, rodeo horses, race horses and back yard horses. It was at Brazos Valley that she really honed her skills as an equine practitioner. She is very excited to be back in California and bring back the knowledge she learned in Texas.
Dr. Bergan went to A.C.E.S chiropractic school in Texas in early 2021 to learn how to adjust horses, dogs and cats. Her own horse threw her back out causing her to not push from behind. After getting her horse adjusted, her horse pushed again and she wanted to learn chiropractic to help animals feel better.
